California’s lockdown king just blinked.

In a rare sit-down with Shawn Ryan, Governor Gavin Newsom admitted what millions of Americans already knew: banning beaches, closing playgrounds, and locking people inside during COVID was a massive mistake.

“What the hell were we doing shutting down the beaches?” he said, walking back the same policies he once pushed with an iron fist.

And then came the kicker — Shawn Ryan handed him a Sig Sauer pistol on-air.

Newsom’s reaction? “I respect this gift… I’m not anti-gun.”

But don’t be fooled.

Newsom immediately reverted to every tired gun control talking point in the book: “weapons of war,” “high-capacity magazines,” “red state murder rates.”

This is the same man who banned standard-capacity mags, gutted concealed carry rights, and made lawful gun ownership nearly impossible in California.

He claims the state has “one of the lowest gun death rates” — but the truth? California leads the nation in total gun-related deaths.

And with violent crime surging in L.A., Oakland, and San Francisco, even his “data” isn’t saving the narrative anymore.

Newsom wants to run for president, but he can’t outrun the truth.
