Donald Trump’s would-be assassin appears to have lived a bizarre online double life, posting under “they/them” pronouns on a racy “furry” art site, according to new reporting that is blowing open long-ignored corners of the case.

Thomas Crooks, who opened fire on Trump at a Butler, Pennsylvania, rally during the 2024 campaign, has now been linked to two DeviantArt accounts, “epicmicrowave” and “theepicmicrowave.” The site is notorious for graphic drawings of human-animal characters, and the profiles tied to Crooks reportedly favored “they/them” pronouns and cartoon imagery featuring jacked male bodies with female heads.

The revelations come as Tucker Carlson drops a forensic treasure trove on Crooks’ digital trail — including extremist posts, political whiplash, and a disturbing online acquaintance overseas. Before Carlson’s deep dive, Crooks was practically a ghost, fueling accusations that the FBI slow-walked or buried embarrassing details about the shooter’s radicalization.
